Third-party claims may refer to used content (e.g. photographs) or involved persons (e.g. joint copyright holders, co-publishers, publi-shing houses, funding agencies). For primary publications, such terms must be governed in the deposit license. For secondary publications, such terms are not required if the ope-rators have reviewed the legal situation or if permission for secondary publication has been granted elsewhere (cf. M.4-7).
